This is a great deal with this battery! I own a lot of Milwaukee tools but this one is probably one of my favorites and best to recommend for homeowners and casual DIY. Fits in all kinds of places, has a magnetic bar on the front to hold screws and bits, doubles as an impact and drill.

I'm sorry to correct you, but I'm fairly certain this model is a drill only and not an impact driver. Just wanted to clarify so no one gets mixed up.

It has a 1/4" collet like an impact driver but is more akin to the m12 screwdriver

They had about 500+ in stock when I placed order for mine, did not expect to go out of stock as it is not the most sought tool.

Btw, its back on stock but for 179, if you have HD credit card, do check your mails for the 10% coupons.

Yeah this keeps getting restocked (though at $179) so if you still want one keep checking every so often.

Not an impact...but...for 55 bucks you can get the M12 "basic" impact that will likely address 95% of anything a homeowner would need one for... OR for 99 bucks you can get a stubby with battery that is a much better impact. The Installer tool thought is a very versatile tool unto itself.

This is how I got started for 199. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwa.../320268525 I also got the hammer drill aspect on this. It's good for light duty stuff like a fastener into brick or concrete...every so often. You get ALL the basics with this and good battery combo for 199. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwa.../320268525

I got the installer set a couple years after buying the above and find myself using it more than anything else. But occasionally, wife wants something into the brick or I need to replace some top boards on the deck and THEN you are glad you got the hammer drill and impact driver...

Got it, thank you for taking time. I currently on Ryobi system and been eyeing to upgrade especially after seeing the deals on oscillating multi tool, Ryobi stuff are great value but the upgrade itch never settled down, which is why I wanted to start with the Installer kit and see if it justifies the upgrade, I did end up ordering this kit https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwa.../335290384 along with the installation driver after learning it cannot do the impact (i probably wont use the impact wrench function for basic diy stuff Smilie - waiting for the delivery now
