Thanks, in for 1. Even though not hackable, will just sell the battery for extra discount.

i have this and the m12. the m12 isn't deep cut, meaning it's only a 2.5" x 2.5" opening. This one is deep cut so it's 5" x 5". i prefer the m12 for anything that's small enough to use it with. i prefer the big one for anything that is bigger lol sorry im not trying to be pedantic. power wise they both seem equally adequate. this is a PHENOMENAL deal for the m18 i wish i had waited i just bought mine with hack deal a month ago.

I use this size and a compact at work cutting strut. Power difference is very noticable. But the smaller one is nice up on scaffolding and lifts or overhead work, just takes longer to make cuts. I prefer the bigger one whenever I can manage it.

It's going to depend mainly on what you want/need to cut. M12 has some obvious limitations since it's quite a bit smaller, but still good for conduit, rebar, unistrut, 2020 extrusions, etc. It's also relatively light/small so it's more portable, can fit in tighter spaces, and it's easier to use overhead.

These 5" ones are pretty heavy, but they're the way to go if you ever plan on making/buying a 'table' attachment to turn them into a stationary bandsaw.

They also make an M18 compact with 3.25" capacity, if the M12 one isn't big enough but you don't want to go with this big 5" one.

That is a very interesting idea about turning it into a stationary band saw. Can you advise where to find this table attachment?

keep in mind as well there are 2 m12 band saws. The M12 fuel has a slightly bigger cut capacity and feels more power. unless you're cutting only like 1/4 or 3/8" rod all day i'd recommend most to avoid the non-fuel m12. If you're a commercial or industrial electrician you probably already know anyway but the m18 compact bandsaw with 3-1/4" cut capacity is lightweight enough to easily use with one hand and has the best ergonomics and power. If you're using one of these just every so often and don't mind clamping your work down or cutting on the ground (setting the front of the tool on the ground and bringing the work into the blade) then this is the saw for you. This big one is just rough for one handed or overhead work.
