I do wood working as a hobby and do most of my own work around the house. I have a set of pneumatic nailers and the pin nailer is the least used. Brad nailer is my most used. Seems like a good deal and I love battery nailers but I'm not able to justify the spend on it outside my shop. Cabinet installer yeah definitely, but regular home owner? I'm not seeing it unless I'm missing something

Agree. I don't use mine that much, but it does come in handy. If you need the HIgh Octane XC5 battery, then this is a great deal.

I have 18ga one for around the house work but I wish I had something less powerful sometimes. Is this 23ga a good option? Have to replace baseboard soon in the entire home and wondering if this will be a better option.

Typically 15 ga. or 16 ga. for baseboards

Agree, I would suggest 18 gauge for a homeowner/DIY type.

I won't add to cart and let me checkout. Its like glitched. When I do a normal search for the product, it has a much higher price.

The url from the click above brings me into a website that I can add it to the cart. Then the cart say there is nothing inside. I closed out, clicked the url again and it shows there are 2 in the cart because it must of registered the first time I clicked. But when I go to the shopping cart to checkout, it is empty

update: I copied and pasted the 2540-20-48-59-2450B in search and it worked

No, pin nails are the size of needles. They aren't large enough to hold the base in place. An 18 ga is generally the way to go with base. Pin nailer is mostly for very small cabinet trim or to hold glued trim in place until the glue sets and you dont have to go back and deal with holes from larger nails.

If you were to buy another nailer I'd go with a 15 or 16ga. This is a specialty tool.

I am new to all of this and starting to fix up 2 investment houses. Already have a couple DeWalt items and batteries, would this be a better buy for my purposes? On sale $100 off today. https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWAL.../302029641

Yes, I'm on the same boat. But holding off because $250 for dewalt is still pricey IMO. The one you've linked is also 18 gauge and this one is 23. If you don't have any nailers 18 is the first one you should get, unless you need a 23 for something specific.
