I do wood working as a hobby and do most of my own work around the house. I have a set of pneumatic nailers and the pin nailer is the least used. Brad nailer is my most used. Seems like a good deal and I love battery nailers but I'm not able to justify the spend on it outside my shop. Cabinet installer yeah definitely, but regular home owner? I'm not seeing it unless I'm missing something

I need 18 gauge brad nailer same brand but it is not on sale, Maybe sometime in future
The M12 and M18 brad nailers both go on sale pretty regularly (at least once a month the last few months?). If you check Home Depot's daily deals every day you'll probably snag a good deal in the next few weeks.
I got the M12 for $209 this summer and am very happy with it. Haven't seen the pin nailer this cheap before, so jumped on this one!
If you're not tied to Milwaukee, Ryobi is often on sale for about half the price of Milwaukee. I've heard it's plenty good for DIY/hobbyist, but can't speak for it myself.

I am new to all of this and starting to fix up 2 investment houses (accent walls and trim). Already have a DeWalt drill and 2 batteries, would this be a better buy for my purposes? On sale $100 off today. https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWAL.../302029641
I'd keep an eye out for good deals on Metabo HPT nailers. They currently have a brushed 18ga brad nailer combo kit for just $99.00. The DeWalt and Milwaukee stuff is super nice, but usually very expensive. Price is justified if you use them to make a living, but for homeowner level stuff the Metabo HPT nailers work great for a lot less scratch. https://www.amazon.com/Metabo-HPT...407&sr=8-1

I can recommend one of these for a hobbyist or homeowner. https://www.amazon.com/Metabo-HPT...407&sr=8-1

Typically 15 ga. or 16 ga. for baseboards
18 is ideal for base, 15 or 16 is overkill that leaves bigger holes to fill. When they slap up new housing developments they tack mdf base with 2 inch 23g pin nails, so the the painters can hide the holes with paint. Just use your 18g

Definitely in the "have a pin nailer, wish I had a brad nailer" crowd. Holding out for an m12 18g brad nailer. Hope I get lucky soon.
