I'll just comment that I've been using this M4 Pro Mac mini (same exact model + specs) for the last few months, also purchased from Microcenter for this $1100 price, and the device is phenomenal. Very powerful and absolutely silent.

Thank you. Though is it true that iOS backup files and data cannot be saved to external storage? My 2015 MacBook Air 256GB consists of that and the data cannot be transferred to external device. I'm shopping for this one as a replacement. More storage as 512GB

How is it for image generation? I was messing with z image on my 'normal' m4 mini and its slowwwww

never heard of data not being available for exporting.

I have been on slickdeals too many years (I was around before 2000) , and I see 1,100 dollars for upgraded mac m4 ,.... and I think , I can buy 2 basic mac mini m4's for that ... in fact I picked up my second mac mini m4 for 450 dollars about a week ago. Also, I keep looking at newest youtube videos on what you can do on it, and there are even creat an other account on device and make it a 12 tb exteral stuff, and it used as icloud for more storage. I watched it the other day, and I haven't done it yet, but it looks interesting.
I do understand some people are PRO'S and need the extra stuff on their mac mini pro, so no problems with that. Enjoy this device. And keep checking for all the cool stuff people are figuring out NEW ways to do stuff.

p.s. I just searched for the youtube video I'm talking about.
