Posting for anyone who is not aware yet. If you just need a photo editing solution, check out Affinity Studio (Photoshop competitor that is now free with paid AI tools): https://www.affinity.studio/

I have both PS and Affinity (pre-free). I use it 99% of the time. I only need Lightroom to use with Negative Lab Pro. A stand alone app is in the works so I can finally dump Adobe for good.

You'll also get two copies of the subscription if you use the normal redemption process now, even if it's the same product. According to Adobe support you have to use the process I mentioned above. Ask me how I know. Frown
Here's the problem: Not only do you have to be renewing the same plan from Adobe, but you must have bought the plan you are renewing from the same vendor!!! So, if you bought your original 1TB plan from...let's say...NewEgg and you are buying this plan from B&H, it won't renew your NewEgg plan even if you go into your account and click on renew your current plan. Ask me how I know.

Ugh. Adobe is truly the worst. I need to start trying to find a Lightroom alternative for real.

so, if we just applied it not knowing the above (previous ones were from newegg), are we just SOL? we need to have a shared case number or something because this is kinda BS

I had to fight tooth and nail with Adobe support....but eventually they gave me a new code. But....along with the code was a link to use the code....hahahaha. If you use it, it will start a new subscription!!! and not renew your old subscription. Nice one, Adobe.. Almost had me fooled...almost. But I had already made that mistake when I got the code from B&H and I wasn't gonna fall for it this time. Instead, I went to my account page and clicked on renew my current subscription, put in the new code and.....got a new subscription!!!!!! Darn it....they got me!!!....twice!!! So, I had to go back and fight with them some more to get them to give me a second code. Here's hint....keep fighting as you will get many promises and fake information from them. As in, sorry we don't give out codes, you have to ask your vendor (B&H). B&H doesn't have codes to hand out as replaements....that's on Adobe. They gave me 2 codes, but it took a lot of calling them up...and using chat. I swear chat works better. When I talked to real people, they lied to me. They all want to cancel your current subscription with a vague promise of a code. Nope, Cancel the new subsciption and don't tell me to go to B&H. YOU can give me a code, Adobe. However, the guy on the chat or the phone will tell you that the back office team has to issue the code. He can't do it over the phone. It took weeks to get each code. What's funny is when they gave me the first code, they claimed that the B&H code didn't renew because the products were different, but subsequently, I got one of their agents to admit the products were the same. Another agent admitted that the issue was not the product, but using different vendors for the codes (going from NewEgg to B&H and the codes won't stack).

In conclusion, I did finally get a 2nd renewal code. I don't know if it works because I haven't used it yet!!!! I'm waiting for my current subscription to end in early January, That's when I will use the new code.Stay tuned.

Thanks, I finally got through to chat and they said will cancel and give me a new code (my chat rep seemed to know the deal), I'm just going to do the manual method when my current (newegg) one expires, I fear I will forget about this next year when newegg has a sale and then go to do this again Big Grin

Thanks, this is helpful. They've been giving me the runaround for two weeks now. How did you finally manage to break through? They escalated me to a "manager" but they just repeated the same old story of "another team issues the code, we promise your case is escalated. Please be patient" etc etc
