What the misconception is about wok burners is that you have to have the large BTU burner. No, you don't. You have to have a 100k burners if you are using a 19" diameter wok. The smaller the wok the smaller output the burner needs to be. 50k is adequate for a 14" wok as long as you don't crowd it with too much food at one time. And it will be far superior to what you are getting from your electric range. If you used a 12" properly seasoned carbon steel wok on this it would perform perfectly! Just cook portion sizes appropriate for the wok size and burner output. Calculate btu per square inch to compare.

I have this. Purchased at beginning of the summer for 300. Definitely worth it for home use. For the people asking if the btu is enough, are u turning out a dish every 2 to 3 mins like a restaurant? I have yet to cook with this on full blast

Just got one. Thanks. I literally ordered this last night at the 270 price. Luckily, I was able to cancel and reorder. I can avoid Amazon's stupid policy. You can't reorder and return because this item is not returnable.
And unless you're cooking for a restaurant, 50k is plenty good enough for home use. Chinese people all over are cooking in their homes using far less.
