I'm looking for an arm for a Black Friday 57" purchase.... and the reviews here look solid... but... in digging into the reviews, wanting to see pictures of installs, I'm noticing that a LOT of the positive reviews appear to be for a different, far more basic (straight arm), model, which has me questioning "how good is THIS thing actually?"

Thanks for the tip. I already have two ergotron hx monitor arms and for whatever reason ergotron refuses to sell the VHD Pivot by itself. I briefly looked at other options.

Half of monitor arm reviews say [other brand/model] is great and the other half say it's terrible and doesn't hold. I put more trust in reviews when they say why something doesn't work, than the people giving a 5/5 review saying it works great as long as you don't mind it not performing any of its advertised functions.

The 57" will get delivered tomorrow. I plan to use some washer to shim the tilt pivot of the HD pivot in place and hope for the best. Similar to how people shimmed the 49" 1000r curve after it came out and was too heavy for the original regular tilt pivot mechanism.

Price up a few bucks but still seems to fit the bill. Hopefully not garbage, thanks.

It jumped to $86.99 for me but with the coupon, I still got it for $43 so not bad for white heavy version

It came out still 86.99-$43.50 = 43.49 but great deal and helpful for sure. Still 50 percent off. In for one because its way less then other peoples mounts for big monitors and yes I want to see how well this works with a 57″ Odyssey Neo G9" (Dual 4K). Thanks OP!

They keep jacking up the price and, while they increase the coupon discount too, it's not commensurate: right now it's $92.99-$46.50 = $46.49 for me (translation: they lost a sale).

Sounds like a good test. Please report back here when you try it, I'd love to know if this can actually handle a big ultrawide.

Always thought about getting a monitor arm, this deal and the weight limit looks great. I'm gonna give these a shot.

Reporting back. I followed a reddit user's suggestion on the Ergotron HX with HD pivot. I tilted the monitor up and jammed two small-medium sized screws into the spring area of the title mechanism to keep it from sagging.
