Community Reviews
This Anker 250W GaN Prime charging station is best as a dense, all in one desktop hub for phones, tablets, laptops, and other USB C gear. It can push up to 140 watts to a power bank, around 80 watts to a Mac, and the phone stays cool while charging. The app adds useful graphs and manual port control, and the screen and dial make it feel like a serious charging brick. The main caveat is that connected devices can briefly renegotiate power when a laptop or other high draw device is added, and some QC 2 and 3 gear may need different cables. It suits a shared charging spot if you want lots of ports in one heavy unit.
Common Questions (5)
Yes, a brief disconnect can happen when another device is added because the charger renegotiates power across shared ports. This is usually a split-second interruption and is most noticeable with higher-draw devices; smaller loads like an iPhone or iPad are less likely to be affected.
It can charge a full Apple setup, including MacBooks, iPads, iPhones, AirPods, and MagSafe accessories. One reported caveat is that some Amazon 1-star reviews mention weak power delivery to Apple peripherals, and another report says a MacBook only reached about 80W until a firmware update fixed earlier 60W charging behavior.
It can reach 140W when charging a power bank, and one report says a Mac tops out around 80W. It also supports fast charging for phones and can keep a phone cool while charging.
It can get hot enough that nothing should be placed on top of it, so it needs room to breathe. One setup also used its scheduling and auto-off features while all ports were occupied, including a MacBook.
Yes, both coupon codes can be applied after removing and re-adding the Anker code. The checkout initially showed a one-code-only restriction, but the workaround made both discounts stick.

Edit: I played around and tried to remove the anker code and then it applied both. Fingers crossed....

This is one though looks all fancy has current leakage problem I believe because it uses generic processors unlike Apple or Lenovo chargers which use their own in-house designed processors.
In for 3 at least for folks in my list, thanks OP.
Also, and I am NOT a shill for Anker - 4 or 5 months ago I had a smaller charger fail that I've used for more than a year, and I reached out to customer support and they responded promptly. I got a replacement charger and a free cable for my trouble.
I get that Anker isn't "what it used to be". But it doesn't suck for everyone.
Do I need a 3rd charger like this? Nah. Still getting one, though. Because it works well and scratches the geek itch.
