Nice deal. Got 7% back with my Amazon Prime card and slower shipping (still comes well before Christmas).

A lot easier than doing the Costco or Sam's Nintendo e-gift card hack.

You'd have to be a fool to buy into Nintendo these days. Their motto is "how can we get as much money from people without giving them anything"

Do you just make things up as you go in life and hope no one calls you out?
As of the end of September, Nintendo has sold over 10M units of Switch 2 since launch, once the holidays pass that number should be around 12-14M
For reference in the last 5.5 years since launch the Xbox Series X and Series S combined have sold 28M units
You are right these arent selling well they are blasting through all experts expectations both in the video game world and the investment space.
If you dont like Nintendo why click the thread to leave a comment? it's almost 2026, be better

It's literally a Mario kart player and that's it lol
The only switch 2 game I have is mario Kart, there isn't any other switch 2 titles I care to play.

But good news is I didn't have a switch 1, so lots of good solid backlog to play

I bought this Best Buy $499 with PayPal 20% off about a week ago. And I'm going to request a price match since they dropped the price as well. Is there a way to avoid not losing 20% PayPal offer? Refund the GC the difference instead?

I got an additional 7% cash back with Prime VISA for delayed shipping (which was a few days). Way better than juggling egift cards.

Looks like im returning the previous 449 deal from Amazon. Thanks, I know the kids are gonna want Mario kart.
Super annoying, I'm trying to do this too and have to wait for the original order to be dispersed via a gift card.

It has definitely cooled off after a hot start once all the Nintendo diehards bought their consoles. These have been well stocked in stores for a few months and the fact there is a sale on them at all in their first year tells you sales have slowed. It is just too expensive to buy for a kid and that is the real market for Nintendo handhelds. Also, very few games worth buying have come out. Nintendo hopefully has some big hitters coming for 2026 for the system.
Of course sales will be lower following the first month if supply is there. You are likely comparing it to the Xbox or PS or even past Nintendo consoles which really isn't a fair comparison. No other console in recent history has been able to keep supply up to meet demand. Just because stores have them in stock doesn't mean it's not selling extremely well. It is in fact the best selling console in its first year ever.

I believe the average age of a Switch user was over 20 years old. So it's not just for kids. Plenty of adults buy them too. And even then, no, it's not too expensive. It's priced correctly given the sales. When you compare it to other handheld gaming devices it's competitively priced.

And very few games are ever out on a new console. That's not a new phenomenon. I know plenty of people that are STILL waiting for more than 1-2 games that are worth it to buy a PS5, and that's what? five years old at this point?

I don't see the need for all the cope. No one is saying the Switch 2 is a failure. Nintendo needed to make a move to get things going and compete with the PS5 sales. They will have other incentives like big first party releases to boost sales next year. I would much rather see a company do things to keep their consoles moving instead of just jacking up the price and forgetting about it like Microsoft did.

What are you even talking about? LOL
Nintendo is the market leader. They didn't need to do anything to "complete with the PS5 sales." LOL. The Switch was on the market for 7-8 years and was still selling extraordinarily well and Nintendo did not lower the cost at all over the lifetime of the product. And now the Switch 2 is the fastest selling console ever. You really have no idea what you're talking about. It seems like you are the one with cope.

The original Switch had many sales over the years and Nintendo saw an opportunity to boost sales this holiday and took it. Very smart on their part. Too bad it breaks the hearts of fanboys that they offer a sale 5 months in.

I don't even think it's Nintendo doing an official sale. Nintendo directly wasn't selling it at a discount. I think Walmart or Target did it on their own and then other retailers followed. If this was an official Nintendo sale they would have advertised it. Like Sony is doing with their current (?) sale.
