Worked for me. You can "cancel" the membership and it'll still last the entire 5 months, in case you don't want to have to remember later.

I read the terms and it said you need to use paypal with uberone to pay for everything it to count as uber one. what do you guys think about this? would they like charge you as though you didnt have uberone if you didnt use paypal to pay fo rthe food?

What even is the UberOne membership worth any more? Last I had it, they didn't have any special discounts on the Eats orders, neither was there anything for the rides, except the cashback of whatever percentage!

I cancelled mine which I had got trhough paypal earlier. I still see below after cancelling today.
