Interesting, I have gone there probably 50 or so times over some 18 years and never had any issues, neither have people I know who eat there on occasion and have used them to cater work lunches and such.

You can only store 1 gift card on the app at a time. If the balance left on the gift card on your app doesn't cover your order, you first scan the app gift card (bringing it to a $0 balance), then also scan your next new gift card for the remainder (I store screenshots of the gift cards on my phone, and they scan perfectly fine). (It's also helpful to tell them. before they begin ringing up your order, that you'll be redeeming 2 different gift cards.) Then later, just remember to remove the $0 balance gift card from the app, and put on the new gift card. I scan 2 gift cards in the same order all the time in this situation, so if they're telling you that you can't do it, they're wrong: you can tell them that there's a special button for gift card payments on the register, or get a manager. Hope this helps.
