Heck yeah, thanks. Been eyeballing the gmktek version but didn't bite because I don't want to deal with customs taking my property hostage to extract tariffs from me. Plus I am familiar with the corsair brand. Ssd is a bit smaller on the lower cost one but I can throw my own secondary drive into it for cheaper than what corsair wants for the 2x2tb version.

Gmktek you get on Amazon is pretty much sure to ship from USA warehouse. And it's a very solid computer, in fact I'd rather pay extra to get that one
One thing I like about Corsair though is that it has built in power supply...

These are going to skyrocket in price. I would imagine 128 gb of LPDDR5x-8000MT/s alone is $1k.

those are soldiered on the processor, they are expensive regardless of the RAM price fluctuation. think Apple's M processor.

for those who care, the video card performance of the 8060s is slightly faster than 3080 mobile (don't just take the google AI answer, look at the actual performance numbers).
which is quite impressive consider the entire power draw of 395+ (CPU+GPU+RAM) is about 100w or less. make it extremely manageable for laptop and SFF boxes. i can say my hp G1a runs much quieter in a much slimmer profile than my thinkpad workstation that has the 3080 mobile chip, for faster performance.

$200 cheaper than the GMKtec and $238 cheaper than the Framework workstation.

Anyone have this? How are the noise levels?

I did a ridiculous amount of research on this for the last couple weeks. NIMO and Bosgame are also ones that had cheap-ish Strix Halo minipcs. All of these are based on the same Sixunited AXB35 board, so you'll find the same configuration of ports and form factors. The only difference really is how the heat sinks/fans are configured. GMKtec EVO-X2 is also a Sixunited board. This wiki was invaluable documenting it all.

Aside from Strix Halo tablets/laptops, the alternatives to keep your eyes on are Minisforum MS-S1 MAX because it has USB4V2 or Framework Desktop (which I ended up settling on for the $1600 motherboard-only, cheapest one I could find).

If anybody does buy this though, can you open it up and measure the board width/length? I eyeballed the pictures to look ITX-ish, so I wonder if you can "shuck" these out of their casings.

I guess I should also post those deals. I never really submitted anything to SD before. I would stick with Corsair for brand name power though.

NIMO AI Max+ 395 128GB LDDR5 (+ wrapping paper, lol) - $1859.99
https://www.nimopc.com/products/n...up-to-120w

Bosgame M5 AI Max+ 395 128GB LDDR5 - $1839
https://www.bosgamepc.com/product...ai-max-395

They both didn't charge me sales tax, so it would've come in cheaper for me.

Nope. Pretty much only good for running (relatively) large models slowly.
