lol the way this has slowly rolled out across retailers shows that there was some sort of last minute memo from nintendo allowing people to reduce prices for Cyber Monday. Sales probably not as strong as they had hoped.

It was super easy.
You order the gift cards like you would any other item you buying online. You wait up to 24 hours for them to email you. You copy/paste the codes they send you into a box on Nintendo's site. You add the switch to cart like you would any other online product and when it asks if you want I apply the gift cards to your total you click OK. Easy.

Total time spent in this should not have taken more than 5 mins total.

Community Reviews

The Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle stands out as a strong launch package, especially when paired with Best Buy price matching or PayPal 20 percent cashback, which can bring the effective cost down by about $50 to $90. The console itself gets praise for solid build quality, excellent rumble, and social features like Game Chat, while the bundle is framed as a better value than buying the system and game separately. The main drawback is the price, especially once extra storage and $60 to $80 games are factored in. A solid bundle if you can catch one of the stacking discounts.

Selective price matching is annoying. Cmon BB, you literally had this same sale and this little no name Walmart store has it too an you won't match?!

are people using the one 20% cashback promo or is this something new? The day they made the change it said I had used up my promo already and didn't get 1 last transaction.

I know for a fact when they were claiming their sales were so phenomenal that they were lying or basing it on initial month or week of sales trend type stat. Idk if reduced price indicates bad sales but I also noticed how often I see these in stores.

The switch may have been unique for it's time but the price hike to $80 per game and literally nothing new about this system probably it's making this click on a lot of people's head.

I have a little cousin who mentioned his dad told him he already has a switch so he doesn't need a second one. Nintendo is just banking on the fan base to donate their money to them to keep them afloat
Do you know what anecdotal evidence is? You're seeing it in stores because Nintendo is making an effort to combat scalpers. You think Nintendo is lying about their sales numbers…? You think you know more about their business operations than THEY do?

People keep pointing to that like it matters. What matters is whether or not it maintains sales over its lifetime. It has no chance of matching the lifetime sales of the first Switch. So, this whole "fastest selling console in its first few months/year" thing is irrelevant.
of course sales numbers will start to slow down after the early adopters, that's just economics 101, the nature of the business. But getting off to a fast start is never "irrelevant", it CAN'T hurt. Did someone at Nintendo run over your dog? Why are you so mad?

Agreed but suckers gonna sucker.
Yup. I've owned every Nintendo console except the Wii U and Switch 2. This is too expensive. Not keen on that game keycard either. At $350 I'd consider the console. Until then, Nintendo has lost a customer.

Even at this price, I find it hard to justify this purchase. Console feels overpriced. Maybe they'll bring it down next year or buying a reburshied/used one would be better imo.

For those who used PayPal's "Pay in 4", did you get any email that indicates that we've successfully claimed the 20% cash back offer from PayPal after purchase? I clicked on 'Save offer' for "20% cash back on one Pay Later purchase with PayPal" in my PayPal account. When I checked out on BestBuy site, PayPal's pay schedule is ($449+tax) / 4. I'm not sure where I can check and see that this Switch 2 purchase from BestBuy was eligible for that "Pay Later" (a.k.a. "Pay in 4") promo.
Where is this 20% cash back? I don't see it

My first Nintendo since Wii. Had it for 4 days and I'm returning it..the equipment is quality and the rumble is phenomenal... However , mario kart world is meh (same as all the others, just with shiny graphic which doesn't do it for me). I demo DK and found it very repetitive , thought pretty. The it hit me as I was search for games...I won't spend $60-80 on game likes these! I just can't do it. Maybe if I had a switch library I'd consider keeping it, but the prices of games are breathtaking and it's not a matter of whether I can afford it.... It's a toy, and fantastic toy and buying add on to expensive toy is hard pill to swallow
