Very questionable. Title says IPS panel, description says VA. also why are there so many of these? Returns? I want to pull the trigger but there's too many weird things here.

It's a VA panel per LG's spec sheet, titled on eBay is incorrect.

This monitor has a VA panel, not IPS. Also, it's not good for gaming and the OS is slow but useable if you're interested in that.

The ancient (8 years old) Curved 34" LG I want to replace has an IPS panel but only 60hz... why are all the curved panels VA these days? Thats old tech. OLED is far nicer than both but expensive still.

Because 100mhz refresh rate. That's fine for productivity and office work but no bueno for gaming as it can't really take advantage of a gpu's variable refresh rate.

It's a VA panel as stated in the thread... the title info is wrong.
My friend had this exact monitor in white. While the WebOS interface is slower than how it operates on LG TVs, it's definitely capable of playing media from different resources. It worked white taking a break to kill some time during long projects. I'm curious about the sheer number of "open box" items they seem to have, but these are most likely blemished box type deals as opposed to returns. I guess we shall see.

Received mine today, and it was brand new. Still all the plastic wrappings on the monitor and the stand. The Magic remote, power supply, two pieces of the stand, etc were still plastic wrapped. The only thing that it was missing is the factory foam piece that sits on top of the monitor in the box. Instead, there were a lot of soft packing material to fill up the space in the front, back and top of the monitor to secure it in place in the box.

Downloaded and logged into all the streaming apps. I'm familiar with the WebOS interface from my LG OLED TV, which made it easier to use. In addition, you can control it from your phone with the LG SmartThings app. Lastly, the monitor could be paired with BT speakers or headphones to get a better audio; the onboard speakers are fine for news, but sounds tinny when watching music or movies on it (I plan on doing during breaks).

Overall, this was a fantastic deal for only $165! They had this model on sale for $280 during BF/CM (down from $350).

I got mine wo remote. Stupid thing has an operating system and requires remote to initialize. Tried to workaround it, still failed to use it as second screen for MacBook Air, maybe just a defected product.
