When Grubhub outright lied to me about "we don't charge any more than the restaurant charges"....when I literally went to the place in-person earlier that day and compared the prices on their website...I stopped using their service.
Plus, in this economy, who is eating out?
Since it's likely one of the outsourced reps following a script, they could've meant that "restaurants set the prices on their Grubhub page and we don't charge anything additional to that". But yeah, restaurants do hike those prices to offset the excessive Grubhub fees. No one is willing to eat the costs to save the customers.
Grubhub prices for the few restaurants I use is more than Doordash and Uber who already charges 10% or more over regular menu prices. I stopped using any of these services.
Grub Hub somehow found a way to circumvent the 30-50% service fees in my area... Uber and door dash are basically unusuable unless I happen to catch a 40% delivery promo.
Quick question. I have different email addresses to sign in to Grubhub and Amazon. I have trouble signing in, and I believe it's because I have two different email accounts. How to solve this issue? Delete the current Grub account and create a new Grub account with the same Amazon credentials. Will it work?

No no no, Grubhub support specifically told me "the restaurant is contractually obligated to keep their prices for grubhub the same as in-restaurant/normal delivery"...and that "grubhub only charges a service fee -- not raising separate menu items".
I've heard restaurant owners complain about grubhub (and others) through the years, complaining about the cut they take out. So yeah, they absolutely increase the prices for online orders. "Make the internet generation pay" or something along those lines.
So... someone is lying here. Or hustling the system.
Odd, restaurants have been getting bloody decimated since 2020. I WONDER WHY? 🤣
The hassle for me to go out to pick up something in person costs me more time and effort than if I simply made a meal myself. Prices have been going catastrophically. And apparently there's this entire room in every home, dedicated solely to the storage and preparation of foodstuffs. HOW NOVEL.

You can submit a price match and grubhub will give you the difference plus a $5 credit.

Which basically lets you know it is utterly worthless. I actually opted out of it even though it was free because I knew I'd never use it or even be tempted to use it and overpay for food.
