Quote from your link : After using the the 1TB model for 24 hours and switching back to the base model, the differences in using the higher spec version feel marginal in day-to-day use, and are not substantial enough to me to warrant spending the extra 600, so the 1TB model was returned
Definitely not! Although you can use external disks via USB in theory
Not in theory, in reality! Before I got a 2TB iPad Pro, I used both the tiny USB-C Samsung flash drives (512GB) and then moved to tiny USB-C microSD card adapters with large cards filled with media and used Infuse for viewing. It works very well and is way cheaper than buying the higher capacity iPads if you just need space for files.

Costco also has the 1Tb with nano texture for 1399.99. BB has it listed at 2099.99. Seems like a good price for the 1TB with nano texture. Thoughts? https://www.costco.com/.product.1945128.html

If you like nano texture. Some reviewers pointed out that for some people, nano texture is a negative feature.

That's a great offer, I did a trade-in iPad 13" M4 for a "refurbished" (returned excellent iPad Pro 13" M5 in BB), with the paypal pay later and got the 20%... is like $248 dls in points to receive
My M4 was great, but the BB price and paypal offer was too good to let it pass...
at the end with taxes and all, I'll pay just like $214 dlls for the new iPad Pro 13" M5
These PayPal points you get from this deal, can they be exchanged for real cash back?
Yesterday I ordered the 13" model with cellular and 512GB storage for $999, but looking around the Costco site just now I see some odd things. The 11" model with the same specs as what I ordered is $1099. And they have the 13" model without cellular and with only 256GB storage also listed for $999. The pricing does seem weird. But fingers crossed it's just them wanting to get rid of some unpopular SKUs and not an actual price mistake...

That's a fabulous price for a 1 TB nano, but my understanding is that the nano version is more often returned than others.
Another consideration is whether one needs 1TB. I store little, so the 256GB is enough for me. Others need more storage. I was tempted to get the 512GB but decided my use case could save that $100 for something I almost certainly wouldn't use, and I keep mine for a while (replacing a 2018 13-inch 256GB).
