How does one do that?
The tennis ball bounces around the dryer and strikes the down garment to puff it up without ripping the garment. If you don't use the tennis balls, the wet down in the garment tends to clump up and retain moisture.

The sides are not insulated. Look at the side profile photo real close. Just fabric. At least your belly and back will be warm...

I guess they are still making it then but may have moved to cheaper versions. I did not find 1 at Costco this year but it was a constant staple for 2-3 years.

Its a lightweight jacket, so dont expect heavy insulation. But for the price, its solid.
