Gourmia does have good customer service though. I had an air fyer with an unresponsive touch panel. They shipped me out a new unit pretty quickly. Same issue 11 months later though, so deciding whether to buy this or spend $200+ on a Ninja.
I think buy this one, here is why...
  • 1/4 the price it only has to last 1/4 the time to be better value than the ninja. So the ninja would have to be useful for 4 years.
  • I say useful vs last because for reasons other than it breaking you may not have it 4 years.
  • - You may want a newer model
  • - If your house is like my house the Air Frier gets used 3+ times a day. No matter how much tin foil you use or how much you clean it. You may want a new one once ever two years or so.
Nice to see this old style model on sale similar to years past. I bought the newer one from Walmart last week for my parents (buttons and knob on top). Will see whether it is better or worse than this old standby.
I think for this price, these large toaster over models are unbeatable versatility. Gourmia has replaced one under warranty for me also, good customer service IMO.

King Kong sized
I think this is a relative opinion. These aren't toaster ovens, they're more marketed to be used like convection ovens of the past which were even bigger. This seems sized right somewhere in-between a toaster oven size and convection oven size.

I mean who wants to make 6 chicken nuggets at a time or personal size pizzas only.

I do however laugh that they all feel compelled to show a turkey cooking inside in at least one pic. More like a game hen.

I bought this one and tested it out. Aside from the unsealed gap between the doors it worked great. The deal breaker for me was how hot it gets to the touch, the outside was easily over 150 degrees. Not practical for a counter top appliance.

I have had this one for a couple years now. It gets used nearly daily. No issues. Yes, it fits a regular size frozen pizza quite well.

Yeah, when I replaced it I went with a model with a single door because the French door air leak was a pet peeve of mine also. Still worked great though.

The heat is annoying but I guess I just overlooked that also because for me this replaced my toaster oven. I don't think I've ever had a toaster or toaster oven that was cool to the touch outside.

I guess it all comes down to expectations and needs. I just view mine as a toaster oven on steroids.

They only had the rose/white. Would love this in silver and red.
Anyway, got one to replace a trusty Black & Decker I got from WM years back. I have no idea how to clean that one and it looks like it was in a house fire. :
Thanks for the heads up on this deal. Glad I got it in time.

Was interested in knowing how big the opening is. I bought a 13" pizza pan (for 12" pizza) and it doesn't fit in my old Black & Decker. That one has a 12.5" opening. If it fits this new one I'll just keep it instead of returning.

Edit: posted on the wrong one. I got the one from Walmart. Same price, different oven I think... oh well....

I bought mine at Costco. Works great until it quits... I've returned one so far and got another.
I was just in Costco and they have a recall about this.

@keepmyshirt
Can you share where you are getting this information from as I believe your statement about a recall for this unit from Costco is FALSE.
A quick google search of "Gourmia costco recall" yields the following results.
"There is no Gourmia recall from Costco at this time. However, there are a couple of recalls that may be relevant, including a recent countertop oven recall by a different brand that was sold at Costco and other retailers, and a recall for Gourmia air fryers sold elsewhere due to fire risk"
@keepmyshirt, Please provide us with some further details as it appears you may be thinking of a different brand / model.

Yeah, that's the point. It will fit a 12" pizza. If you want a small one, get a basket style.
