As far as I can tell, these won't integrate into Home Assistant at all (or at least, not easily). $10 IS a great deal, but you're still paying to not be in control of the feed in your home (not to mention recording, etc. is paywalled).

The service costs $10/month just to use this.

How is this a good deal if it requires subscription?

Can someone post the FCC ID of this camera (or bonus points if you already have an internal picture of the SoC)? I'm wanting to get one but only if I can hack the firmware... I need to know the SoC to know if I have the technical ability to do it.

I bought a few of these. I have tried absolutely everything, I cannot get them set up. They get stuck downloading an update and crash. Has anyone been successful getting one of these set up recently?

I'm in the same boat. They will add to my Google home but do not connect.

There has been reported issues with these cameras -

This is a good deal, but the problem is the $10/mo or $100/yr subscription. You're better off getting a Eufy camera which costs more upfront but you'll save not paying for the sub. Soon, IKEA is coming out with reasonably priced webcams and other iOT devices that will be compatible with Apple HomeKit, Thread, and Matter. Apple HomeKit doesn't require a subscription. HomeKit compatible devices cost more but I save in sub fees. I'm waiting for Ikea to start selling them sometime in January!

I bought two today to mess around with. I had no problem setting it up on my pixel 7. I had the google home app installed already. There was no need for other software.

Without a subscription you can do live video in the google home app and on the home.google.com website. So this will be good for spying on my dog when I'm not home. It should do two way audio.

Without a subscription, it will take still photos when it senses movement and keep them for three hours. It should take video and retain them much longer with a sub.

I'm putting one in my front window and will see what it captures going by the house.

Seems like it should be handy for 10 bucks. I probably won't sub, but I did see if you pay 20/mo for AI pro then you get the 10/mo home premium included.
