I see the 9 film Blu-ray set at $28 lately. I'd rather get Blu-ray even over 4k streaming. Quality just seems so much better, especially the sound .
Guessing when then 11 film Blu-ray set comes out thet the 9 film will go lower price.
It really is night and day with the sound if you use a quality surround system vs streaming. Give it a shot.
Streaming TV shows is awesome however, (exception is star Trek)

There are superman only bundles, but iTunes/apple tv won't show price. Any deal on those since most people already got batman movies from recent 4 movie bundle deals.

Sound quality might be bc the Blu-ray will have a higher bit-rate. The picture will be inferior from a resolution standpoint (so lost detail) but you may get better results in reds and blues bc there's less compression. It's an interesting balance. Really, though, the biggest issues is simply ownership. The potential for Apple or the studio to pull the rights to stream the video is always there. Extremely rare, but has been known to happen.

yeah, the sound is crisp and dynamic range hugely improved. The clarity is unmatched bluray, or 4k bluray vs streaming. If just watching on tv with tv speakers, who cares I guess.
I checked this once using Jurassic World 4k bluray and streaming, gigantic difference.

For my Mom, I'd just buy her streaming titles or better yet, a subscription to a streaming service. I think she's watched some shows 4x entire seasons now.

3 of the same movie with different cuts seems kind of scammy to count those as part of the 11.

So there are basically only 3 total movies even close to worth watching.
