Ram price increase, that is a factor which wasn't there couple of weeks ago. All the non-barebone models from these Chinese manufacturers have been increasing and will increase even more.

Non upgradeable RAM limits the "AI" part and upgradeability.

Although, 32gb is good for normal PC use and whatever gaming you can squeeze out of the iGPU.

The AI Part is for having a 50 TOPS NPU. This 890M iGPU is not really suitable for running very large models anyway, even if you have a lot of Rams. On the other hand, having LPDDR5X 7500 MT/s Memory will boost gaming performance by a lot over 5600 MT/s DDR5 memory it supports.

If you want to run bigger AI models, use the oculink port to connect any GPU you like.

Not sure why the thumbs down. It's true. Micron announced they won't be making their crucial consumer line, they will focus on selling direct to big AI. RAM prices seemingly doubled in the last month with the shortages.

Yes. And even other manufacturers like Samsunf are now dedicating most of their fabrication factories to manufacturer GDDR7 and HBM memories instead of UDIMM and SODIMM memories, resulting reduced quantities and exponential price hike.
