The 965 is worth the extra $40 for a boost thru axle if you are XL or XXL.

I was willing to pay idk over ~$600 for a used version of the Specialized Chisel or equivalent Trek etc (fb marketplace, craiglists, etc)... so yeah i think if this fits its a good deal on a NEW bike with ~3yr warranty (5yr if you register the bike) etc

Hope to get mine soon, appears shipping will take 5-7days all in.

That's a great deal. Scott is just as much (if not more so) of a premium brand in the EU as the other mentioned brands above. Premium quality frames!

There is nothing insane about a hardtale with QR and SRAM Eagle for $600, Canyon 5 Grand Canyon was on SD for same money, and it had 10-51 12 speed Shimano at least. And before anyone starts on Air fork, Judy silver is still bottom barrel, air or coil

Looks like the 965 is $1050, not just $40 more. https://www.scott-sports.com/us/e...price-asc#

Maybe they sold out or repriced it.

Under the bike specs, it says:
"Please note that bike specifications are subject to change without prior notice"

Do they replace stated components with cheaper ones?
Canyon did that in the prior sale AFAIR.

for the green gotta select XXL for the $600
for the blue you can select XL or XXL for the $600

Pulled the trigger on the XL blue 965, haven't biked in years because my wrist were always numbing up, I think my old bike is just way undersized. Hope this will help me get back into riding trails!

The cassette, shifter / brakes are all ready to go right.. if I assemble at home, it's just doing the tires, pedals & tweaks on the handlebar / putting handlebar on. Anyone know?

Yes that is how nearly all direct to consumer bikes ship. You may or may not have to adjust the RD but it will be installed and the cable ran.

For $600 there isn't a lot to complain about but to be nit picky I'll do it anyway.

The QR boost rear hub is a dumb standard that really isn't supported aftermarket. Does it really matter though? meh not really. Just don't plan on buying fancy high end wheels for your $600 bike.

Through the headset cable routing. WTF? Does anybody actually like this on mtn bikes? Just makes working on the bike a PITA and it is a $600 bike WTF again. I wouldn't necessarily not buy a bike because of it but I'd have to really want it despite it.

No dropper post. I guess you could add one but since it has through the headset cable routing there may not be room. Anybody know?
