365nm is often considered superior because it produces less visible light, making the faint glow of urine stains more distinct. Stains will appear as a pale yellow or greenish color under the light. Specific wavelengths, often in the blue-violet range (\(415-490\) nm), can cause semen stains to fluoresce (glow) and be visualized. A 395 nm wavelength is best used for applications like creating blacklight effects, curing certain UV resins and adhesives, and detecting fluorescence for things like counterfeit money, animal stains, or antique glass.
