Just as a data point... black color was on sale online at REI in June for $35, I bought it then. Nice price at $22

It does run a bit warm compared to a cheap Amazon alternative that I have, but not too bad.

Polyester hoodies are great if you don't plan to wash it very many times, or enjoy using a sweater shaver.

Hm think it's the opposite. You should plan to wash it super often since polyester is known to stink super bad.

I've washed my poly base layers dozens of times and they don't pill, I do wash them inside out and I make sure all zippers of all the garments in the load are zipped up

Are these true to size? Good to know that they are thicker material, great for colder days out in open

Pretty much, yeah, consistent with north face sizes. I'm 5'4 and went with medium to hide my gut better. It's a tiny bit long but fits nicely. If I was skinnier I'd go with small
