Norwegian's sale is mainly about the Free at Sea perks and prepaid gratuities, but the strongest value seems to come only when the promo stacks with other offers. The free gratuities are uncommon and limited to two guests per stateroom, and the MyVegas or MyKonami redemption can add $1,000 off while still leaving taxes and port fees in place. Several price checks show the headline discount can be offset by higher base fares, with final totals often landing close to other cruise lines. The deal feels most useful for travelers who can combine promos and are comfortable with NCL's extra onboard charges.
Common Questions (4)
The gratuities are often baked into the cruise price, so the final savings can be small even when the promo is advertised as free. In some comparisons, similar itineraries on other lines came out within about $50, and the "free" gratuity did not materially lower the total.
A MyVegas/MyKonami reward can reportedly take $1,000 off an NCL booking, but taxes and port fees still remain. The redemption also requires immediate payment in full and can show the same base prices as NCL.com.
The listed fare may already be close to the final price, and some checked cruises were actually higher than they were a couple days earlier. The 50% off can be hard to verify until you run the booking flow, but the promo does not necessarily produce a dramatic drop.
Free gratuities are only for two guests per stateroom. If you're pricing a larger cabin party, the perk does not cover additional passengers.

We're considering 7-days Barcelona-Lisbon in April 2026 (a BOGO with this stack).

Care to share your itinerary and all-in price?
This looks appealing
With that said, most of the cruise lines have been too stingy (and expansive) for us (besides MSC, but only if u are near one).
IMO, i dont see much of a saving after seeing the final price tag.

What a joke.
