Norwegian's sale is mainly about the Free at Sea perks and prepaid gratuities, but the strongest value seems to come only when the promo stacks with other offers. The free gratuities are uncommon and limited to two guests per stateroom, and the MyVegas or MyKonami redemption can add $1,000 off while still leaving taxes and port fees in place. Several price checks show the headline discount can be offset by higher base fares, with final totals often landing close to other cruise lines. The deal feels most useful for travelers who can combine promos and are comfortable with NCL's extra onboard charges.

Attention MyVegas/MyKonami Slots players: 600,000 gold coins buys $1000 off your NCL booking today (or tomorrow). Taxes/port fees cannot be nuked by this Award. Read the terms in-app before pulling the trigger.

We're considering 7-days Barcelona-Lisbon in April 2026 (a BOGO with this stack).
with the myvegas, you have to call and book through them...

3.2k for 2 for 7 days cruise. How is that a sale? Do I have to go through the whole checkout process to see the 50 percent off?

Norwegian nonpaid food and shows are generally rated to be better than MSC, although some MSC ships has better entertainment/features. But I think food is a bit more important.

You can tell if it's a good deal by looking at cruiseplum, which if you click on a cruise, will show it's price over time. "50% off" is meaningless, all cruise lines do it all the time, and the Free At Sea really isn't free, because you get something like 150 internet minutes, you have to pay $20 gratuities for specialty dining, and you have to spend over $20/day for drinks gratuities for that package, which doesn't include Starbucks or other specialty coffee. They also count on you spending twice as much as the initial cost once you're on board, with gambling, shopping, excursions, future cruises, and things like go karts. If you find a price you like, compare it with other travel sites and cruise travel agent sites, because I find cheaper fares for NCL on Expedia without the useless internet minutes and $50 off excursions. Just remember, too, they are very aggressive about getting money from you, and not very honest--they're the ones who told their reps to tell concerned cruisers when Covid started that they couldn't get it in warm weather, so cruising was safe.

No deal for me. I booked back in May for a Norwegian Caribbean cruise at $3883.62 this includes my pre-paid gratuities. I choose the exact room type, same floor and it is the same Free at Sea offer ... today's price shows at $5,557.00.

NCL really nickle and dime you on a lot of items during the voyage so if you don't like that sort of stuff, probably want to try a different cruise line.

The MyVegas redemption line has the same prices as NCL.com and requires immediate payment in full.

Royal Caribbean has been getting stingy

This looks appealing
interesting enough (and for what it's worth), i went over to RCL (which is also running some sort of promotion as well), picked an itinerary as closed to the one offered by NCL (7 nights leaving from a east coast port to bermuda), w/ all similar options price came out to be extremely comparable (for us, less than $50). I don't think the "free" gratuity is really "free", it probably mostly baked into the price of the cruise itself.
With that said, most of the cruise lines have been too stingy (and expansive) for us (besides MSC, but only if u are near one).
IMO, i dont see much of a saving after seeing the final price tag.

They did, checked 3 that we looked at 2 days ago and prices actually are higher by almost 10%

What a joke.

"Huge sale....but secretly increased prices to make more than 2 days ago"
i noticed they do that often as well, its just a marketing tactic that works well cuz they keep doing it
