I actually have this. Well, sort of. I don't have the mixer and can opener, but other than that it's the same. It's great for light duty blending (soups, sauces, and dressings). It's not going to blend ice so don't buy it for that. It can blend protein shakes without ice, but full size ice cubes would probably break it sooner than later. The "bell" is fairly shallow so it doesn't create the vortex that corded blenders do, but it gets the job done for most things. It's pretty sturdy too. The plastic pot guard works but it reduces the blending performance so I usually leave it off. The accessory chopper is fine too.

We use it all the time because it's very convenient to have. One of the best features as far as I'm concerned is it's charging cradle. It doesn't get in the way and keeps it charged and at the ready. A lot of cordless blenders skip that and use either a USB or their own proprietary cable. It's a lot easier to just grab it when you want to use it. I leave the wand in a cup next to the body. Simple and efficient.

I went from an All-Clad cordless that truly did have corded power compared to this B&D. The only problem with the All-Clad was the battery died after a year. Then the warranty replacement died after a few months. So far, this B&D is over a year old and performs like new. I haven't babied it either. If you look at the grey model the regular price appears to be $79, not the $153 the red link claims. No matter, it's a steal at $29 in my opinion.

Thanks for that.

Did I read that you keep this on the cradle all the time? I figured that would be bad for the battery?

Wife has a corded one but the whisk broke so I'm thinking of getting this as a replacement. I understand that the blender, well, blends, instead of whisks but that's the same right?

EDIT:
Does anyone know how the can opener works? Cant imagine it working well unless there's a low rpm mode or some gearing magic of sorts.

Yes, I keep the body on the cradle all the time. It's actually designed to be left on so it's good to go.

The can opener works from the top, but the speed is adjustable and I imagine there's a gear reduction in that box.

The above deal is more expensive @ $69 but comes with different attachments than this.

Wish this one came with the whisk attachment.

Not sure that's an ergonomic way to use a can opener.

Beware this is only 250 watts, which is very under powered. If you want a Immersion Blender/Chopper I would highly encourage a 500+ watts. I got my Muller 800 watt for right around this price, FYI.

Those are some creative attachments, milk frother, wine opener, and a salt & pepper grinder. In my case the 4-in-1 attachments are better (mini chopper, hand mixer, and can opener), but to each his own.

As you mentioned it has a whisk instead of a mixer. I think the mixer would do the same tasks in most cases. The whisk looks huge IMO. As far as the can opener, I went on youtube and there are a lot of videos of it in action. It looks pretty and fast effective and operating from the top is no problem. It's a safety opener too, so no sharp edges and more hygienic.

Wife already has a frother and battery operated salt/pepper shaker so dont need those. Would have been nice to buy have a pick-and-choose option lol.

I sent it to the wife for review since our can opener just died and we're looking for one currently.

Thanks!

Thank you. Made me look at the wattage and then found a Mueller probably similar to yours. Gray was just under $35 and had a $5 clippable coupon that brought it under $30.
Edit: although its not cordless. They cut off the cord in most of the images so not evident at first.

B&D doesn't overstate it's wattage, but it's powerful (for a cordless) and rock solid. A lot of these off brand stick blenders claim 800, 1000 or even 1200 watts, but they're just not as powerful as they claim, and the component quality is suspect in most cases. The components of the B&D are well engineered and high quality too.

Are you sure your Mueller is cordless (battery operated)? I can't find any Mueller cordless immersion blenders on Amazon or Mueller's website. I have no idea how good the Mueller is, but the B&D here is plenty powerful (aside from blending ice which most cordless immersion blenders are not great at).

Mueller itself is a strange company. A U.S. based company that used to claim Austrian heritage. They used a flag with Austrian colors, but the colors are backwards with one red bar in the middle (The real Austrian flag has two red bars and a white bar in the middle). Why would they do that? On their site they used to market their products as European engineered as if they're Braun or Krups, but it was all BS. I'm not saying they don't make good products, I'm just saying the name and marketing was a gimmick. They have no connection to Europe. When I looked into them previously, they were based in Florida and the products are made in China (no problem with that part). Now they call themselves "Mueller Living" devoid of Austrian flags or European design. I'll take Black & Decker over Mueller every time.

In for a grey one...couldn't resist! I bought it mainly for the can opener and mixer, just those accessories would cost more if bought separately, so it's worth it to me. Since I already own the blender and chopper, I guess I'll have a backup motor, wand, cradle, and mini chopper too. 😀
