Sigh... at least Lenovo's not trying to pawn off another mobile processor.

That's actually up until recently the best gaming processor you can get 🤦. It had the largest cache until the 9900x3d came out

I have similar parts and got everything open box or on deal, I'm shy 100-200 dollars from how much it cost to build mine. Imo it's a solid deal considering the 5070 is normally 533-700 dollars

Edited for clarity. Yes, this processor is very good. Lenovo has been selling a bunch of mobile CPU's in recent desktop deals.

Quality computer. My legion 5i is well made versus some of the junk at Costco lately. Costco use to sell Legion 5 gamers.

I am not sure how you can not know what that is, but I will humor you. Mobile CPUs are just like desktop CPUs but more power efficient and designed for laptops. This may mean lower clock speeds compared to their desktop equivalents, or different core counts. They also come with integrated graphics like AMD's G-series desktop CPUs since most laptops need a GPU for display output and can't add one in separately.

The ones they were referencing were mobile AMD 8000-series HX (desktop class) CPUs. They aren't really "mobile CPUs" per se since they aren't efficient like the typical H or U mobile chips. The reason they were fast is because they came with a ton of 3D V-cache.
