100-lb Set: $79 / 100 lb = $0.79 per lb
160-lb Set: $114 / 160 lb = $0.7125 per lb
210-lb Set: $130 / 210 lb ≈ $0.62 per lb
260-lb Set: $185 / 260 lb ≈ $0.71 per lb
370-lb Set: $243 / 370 lb ≈ $0.66 per lb
The lowest price per pound is approximately $0.62 for the 210-lb set.

In before the small comments.

I opened these took them out of the plastic wrap they were in wiped the machine oils off with a damp cloth warm water and let them sit in the sun for 2 days. There was nearly no additional smells that people typically complain about.

.65-.66 cents a lbs is a freaking sweet deal.

Perfect timing since I have everything for my little basement gym except plates. I'm getting the 210lb set with 2x10lb plates for $18 more. That's just under 65 cents/lb...for brand new plates. Everyone locally is selling used plates for $1/lb, so this literally can't be beat unless you're buying from a friend.

Delivery guy is going to hate me. 🤣

No experience with these but I love fringe sport quality and customer service. Give them a look. The savage color plates are amazing looking. And is what I have, think I bought the 270 set and I just added a pair of red 55lb to my collection. They have mil spec plates that are cheaper and flat black too.
I have these bumpers, rogue competition bumpers, old school Ivanko steel, all the way up to powerlifting calibrated discs.

I'll tell you that the garage gym guys and influencers sold us snake oil - weight is weight and those little 2% differences are made up niceties for us to feel like we are getting more for our dollar (we are not). I'm a competitor who has Eleiko, Kabuki, REP etc and a bunch of no name stuff and I still assert it doesn't matter. I'll even say that some of my no name stuff has better knurl than the big brand guys (!)

Does anyone know the capacity of the bar that comes with some of the sets? I cannot find it. Also does anyone know how they ship these? Is it one giant box or several boxes? Say the 210 lb kit for example.

What? Are you asking if these are bumpers?

Yes, I have a few of these and they're regular rubber (low durometer for sure, they're bouncy if you're planning on dropping them) with a steel collar. Nothing exciting nor special. They do the job ESPECIALLY at this price.

I paid $1/lb shipped many moons ago and for this price, id say it's a steal.
Ok thanks, these sound good. I just don't want more concrete filled balloons like I have now.

Can anyone recommend a weight tree?

I went with the 370# set.
Discovered this problem after I received the weights. I bought a CAP Barbell weight tree off Amazon (everything was on sale last month), but it's sized for cast iron plates, not these bumper ones. I have to remove one of the 5 arms in order to have 3 usable positions on it -- the 4th is going to have some small iron plates when I receive them.

For those who are complaining about the 15 lb, 35 lb and 55 lb being wasteful - I just found out that Walmart let me cancel individual parts of the set, so I was able to just cancel the 35 lb from the 210 lb set. I believe you can do the same and cancel the 35 lb and 55 lb parts from the 370 lb set. YMMV.

Another tip - if you have 2 x 2.5lb, 4 x 5lb, 2 x 10lb, 2 x 25lb and as many 45 lb pairs as you like, you can make any increments of 5 lb with a 45 lb barbell.
I also purchased the 210 pound set and saw that each of the weight pairs were priced separately on the receipt and can be returned separately. It would have been great if I had realized that I could cancel the 35s before they were shipped, but now I will bring them to a store and return them. Here's the price breakdown of the set:
210 pound set total = $130.00
25 lb pair: $33.80
35 lb pair: $42.06
45 lb pair: $54.14

Yeah, I found it out by accident.

I then went on to fully exploit it Wink I bought the colored versions and canceled whatever I didn't want. Bought 2x 10 lb, 2x 25 lb and 4 x 45 lb. Came out to $0.62 per lb after everything considered. Just got them delivered - everything looks good. Thanks OP!

You can also get the 7 ft 45 lb barbell this way for about $55 - buy the set that includes barbell and cancel the weights. Find the set where the barbell cost is roughly $55-ish (as that seems to be the lowest for the barbell).

Bumper plates are a hardened heavy solid rubber throughout with the exception of the center ring. That's sometimes a metal ring. There is no filling. Bumper plates are always the same diameter, but different thicknesses unlike the types you are referring to which are usually a hard plastic shell filled with sand or concrete.

The advantage of these is they can be dropped without damaging the plates and all the plates are uniform in diameter so all plates can absorb the drop. The downside is they are usually larger both in diameter and thickness than their cast iron or rubber coated cast iron counter parts (although I have seen bumper diameter cast iron 45lb plates on rare ocasions), and don't have handles like some cast iron ones. So if your weight horns are short, you can't fit as many on.

It is possible. Order 2 of the 210 lb set (it is the cheapest per lb). Cancel the 25 lb and 35 lb from the order. Each 45 lb pair will only cost you around $54.
