Crazy that I could've built this a few months ago for probably $1k and now $1500 is supposed to be a deal... This is depressing

CPU is better, but there were a couple of poor reviews of the iBuyPower one. However, there were no reviews of the one originally posted so just depends on if worth risking it for a slight improvement with the newer processor.

Check CyberPowerPC reviews. I would not purchase another CyberPowerPC again. I purchased directly from from CyberPower. The build quality was not great missing extra fans ordered and poor wiring. It eventually died at 1 year exactly. Customer service was horrible and offered no help. 10/10 would not recommend CyberPowerPC even through Costco.

There are key differences. Newer chipset, better powersupply and RAM timing. This desktop is more future proof. The 9800x3d is just an overkill in the other system and likely an upgrade to any other component will require a wholesale upgrade, leaving the value only in the CPU.
I personally think this is a more balanced desktop with room to grow. The other helps you own a 9800x3d.
For anyone on a budget can consider https://slickdeals.net/f/18903187-lenovo-legion-tower-5-gen-10-30l-rtx-5070-ryzen-7-7800x3d-32gb-ddr5-1tb-ssd-1324-99?src=SDSearchv3&attrsrc=Thread%3AExpired%3AFalse%7CSearch%3AType%3Anormal%7CSearch%3ASort%3Arelevance%7CSearch%3AHideExpired%3Afalse as alternative to this post.

Buy pre-built computer systems with at least 32 GB of memory. Computer memory is so expensive elsewhere.

I actually hope that computer memory prices will drop very soon and that this was just a push to get prebuilt systems sold.

They won't, if anything they will be going up. AI data centers high demand drive prices up.

Seems like prebuilds on sale is the only way people are paying anywhere decent for a PC.

It's not been going anywhere for years and yet here we still are suffering with it.
