This bundle is mainly a way to lock in DDR5 32GB pricing while getting an MSI X870 motherboard and Corsair iCUE Link H115i cooler bundled in. The strongest case is value, since the RAM alone is being priced close to the combo and the extra parts can make the effective cost much lower. It also looks useful for productivity builds and for anyone moving to AM5 or DDR5. The main cautions are that the kit is listed as optimized for Intel, may not appear on the motherboard support list, and the CL36 latency feels high to some. A practical pick if the parts fit your build plan and stock is still available.

So I still need CPU if I were to replace these components from my existing desktop/tower, right?

Buying for the ram and mobo. Can sell the CPU cooler. If you sell the CPU cooler on ebay for $120 then you'll be paying 290 bucks for the combo which is a great deal, especially right now.
Was thinking the same but on ebay there are a quite a few available and not selling for that much. Plus doesn't ebay take quite a bit off the top?

These ram prices are getting out of hand. Bout to upgrade but looks like I'll stick with my 5700x and ddr4.

I checked it out before I posted and saw the last two sold in October for $120. Market changes though. Imagine that the supply is about to go up lol

I bought dd4 when prices were insane. When time to upgrade ddr5 was insane, so just shoved my 4 sticks of dd4 into a 12th gen mobo that had the universal holes to use old heatsinks. Now ram is back to insane, but i really dont need a core ultra or AM5 amd.

Just an FYI for anyone looking to build, Micron just announced its exit from the consumer memory space as well so expect prices to continue to rise.

they charge like 14% then a final price fee then you gotta pay the shipping label even though the buyer paid for it. overall you lose like 23% on fees n shipping when u sell on ebay unfortunately. screw selling on ebay sell local if possible.

I bought Ddr5 v color 30cl 32gb for $220 from Newegg a week ago. Also msi 870mb and 9800x3d came out to $550 microcenter , Corsair 360 water cooler $106 Amazon .I assumed that $400 cpu and $150Mb. If I were to compare $220 ram $150mb $106 cooler= $476 plus taxes .
The market has drastically changed since then, and RAM prices have doubled. It's possible in the next week they'll increase another 50%. Crucial/Micron just left the consumer market. Nvidia no longer supplies RAM to board partners, they'll have to source it themselves; AMD just announced price increases last night for CPU and GPU.
If you want to buy anything for the next few months at anything approaching a deal, I suggest you get it quickly.
