Stock up! There's always next Black Friday. Besides, they make great Christmas presents for those of a different generation that you may have no idea what to buy!

Just a reminder: you can't use GS GCs to purchase 3rd party GCs (Steam, Microsoft, Sony, Roblox, etc).

Quote from gamestop.com :
Gift cards, digital gift certificates, trade credit and PowerUp Rewards™ cards containing store credit can only be redeemed in the U.S.at GameStop.com and GameStop store locations. Your gift card cannot be used to purchase other GameStop gift cards or any other 3rd Party currency that GameStop sells (PlayStation Network Cards or other retailers). All other products are available to purchase.

Back when I had a Powerup account (2yrs ago?) or whatever they called it, you could still buy Nintendo GCs, but I'd imagine they closed that.

They don't give an option for store pickup. Since these are physical cards, has anyone tried purchasing these at B&M?

I refuse to support Gamestop in any way. I've bought "new" games from there that were not only opened, but didn't come with DLC codes that are supposed to come with the new game. Plus terrible trade in offers and overpriced games and jacking up prices when they do special promotions (like their 4 games under $20 for $40) so desirable titles don't fall into the promotion. Shady practices all around.

A few years ago I used these to get my brother a refurbished Steam Deck from Gamestop for under $200 when all was said and done. As somebody who has had a SD from day 1, it appeared brand new and he's been using it for 2 years now without issue.

Sounds like you bought a used game or were going to some shady location.

I just don't buy physical games at Gamestop anymore. I used to buy hundreds of games from them a year during their sales and have well over 2000 physical games, but their practices have only gotten worse with time. Cue the mouthbreathers that either love Gamestop because they bought stocks during the short or because they don't know the difference between factory sealed and "Gamestop new" gutted games in resealed bags.

They can't gut gift cards. They typically don't gut consoles. I've been shopping with them since before they bought out EB Games in 2005, and I'd rather they stay in business so even trashier corporations like Walmart and Amazon don't monopolize physical game selling too.

I'm pretty sure the gift card limit is for ONLINE purchases. I'm pretty sure you can use as many gift cards as you want in-store.

I used multiple GCs at a Gamestop when I bought my Switch 2 earlier this year.
