This M12 compact spot blower is best for quick cleanup on decks, walkways, garages, truck beds, and cars, where its small size and no cord convenience make it easy to grab and use. It handles dry leaves, dust, debris, and even drying a car, and it feels handy for light jobsite work. The included 2.0 amp hour battery is the weak point, with short runtime and limited power for bigger leaf piles or wet debris. It is more of a spot cleaner than a full leaf blower, with the strongest appeal in fast, light-duty tasks.

  • The blower is not considered comparable to a normal blower for heavy yard work.

  • The included 2.0Ah battery reportedly provides only about a minute or two of runtime.

  • The blower struggles with wet leaves and may underperform versus higher-voltage 18V or 20V models.

  • The blower can be very loud while moving little air, leading to returns and dissatisfaction.

I have this and the Ryobi compact, like the ryobi better but wow, it screams like a banshee at full throttle! https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../327353620 Heck of a deal for the Milwaukee though, wouldn't use it as a leaf blower for anything but a small walkway, the Ryobi moves a lot more air for a compact. Got my Ryobi off of FB marketplace new for $40, wouldn't pay full price. The Milwaukee mostly sits, grab the Ryobi first. Just keeping the Milwaukee for the RV to clean off outdoor chairs and carpets while camping.
Is the m12 significantly smaller/lighter than ryobi? I have 24v and 80v blowers so dont want anything big.
Ryobi looks very good in performance.

This is the only Milwaukee tool I have that was so worthless I returned it.

I have the M18 compact blower and absolutely love it. Since I'm left handed it never sucks in my shirt, however my wife is right handed and complains how it always plugs up on clothing, so I figured one of these would be nice for her. Bought it and went to blow off my work bench and truly don't understand how it can be so loud and move so little air. Figured there was something wrong with mine so I did an exchange and the replacement was the same. Those $20 pocket sized rechargeable air dusters on Amazon vastly out preform this thing.

The battery provided is woefully inadequate, but the blower itself is great. Small, so easy to use for light stuff. I use it to blow the leaves off my porch, patio sidewalk, etc. I wouldn't use it for heavy yard work, but for quick-grab, light stuff, it's fantastic. I know there's a lot of hate for this, but if you pair it with a much strong blower, you have a good mix. It's also good for drying off cars.

You wanna get the M18 Fuel version with 5.0 Ah batteries. This thing with the baby battery will give you like 5 minutes of run time.

Is this good to clean leaves off of a deck and walkways? I know a leaf blower is the way to go but my parents are elderly and I think this would be light enough for them
I bought my parents this Milwaukee M12 blower so my mom could push dust bunnies out from under furniture. She does also use it for outside uses like you describe. Feedback is that it works well on dry leaves - they don't get rain so not sure about wet debris.

That was before I bought myself a Wolfbox MF100. I use it for many things including a quick cleanup of leaves and pine needles off the porch and walkways when I don't feel like busting out the M18 Milwaukee. Wolfbox also recently came out with the upgraded MF200. Maybe look at those. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRpf98oWZYs

No, the Ryobi is probably a little more compact, has the form factor of a drill. For more precision the wolfbox mf200 is even better, can be had in the $60 range on sale.

Overall I would not buy the Milwaukee again since I have the Ryobi. I don't think either is worth anything over $60 as a bare tool

Of the 15+ M12 tools I have this one is the most disappointing. I have an M18 and Ridgid 18v blower as well and this one puts out about 1/4 the power and is double the size. Honestly it's worth maybe 20 bucks to me and that's because it comes with the little 2.0 battery.
