Everyone is basically going to hold off on upgrades and new builds until RAM and SSDs come back down to regular prices again. This deal is for someone who has an entry level AM4 CPU as LGA1700 is starting to look good for folks who have DDR4 RAM already and dont wanna pay DDR5 prices.

I'd say this deal is more for budget builders. Why buy this combo if you already have an AM4 CPU? You just need a mid-range GPU (which are dropping in price for now), and smaller SSDs + DDR4 ram modules are still cheap

Great cheap upgrade if you've got a Haswell or similarly old DDR4 desktop--reusing the RAM is where this deal shines.

DDR4 ram isn't much cheaper than DD5. Its still around 100 for 16GB and 200 for 32GB.

The shortage isn't specific to DDR5 or DDR4. Its a production shortage. Manufacturers stop making consumer level RAM to prioritizing making RAM for AI data centers.

They've got a few chips with integrated graphics, but they never got this cheap.

What bothers me about this deal is that it doesn't support pci-e 4.0. It's two generations old and night have compatibility issues in not too long.
