Even if you don't use the searing function for searing I'll bet it's nice to quickly bring soup or stew up to temp before going into slow cook. I have a GreenPan 8qt that is similar except it's a slow cooker only. Nothing wrong with that. https://www.walmart.com/ip/GreenP...rtner=wlpa I used it for the first time last week at a family party and it did a great job of cooking a vat of mac & cheese. This Bella here looks great too if 7qt is enough. The travel tie downs look a little wonky compared to the GreenPan, but as long as they work, no problem. One of the best things about the GreenPan is the light weight and super easy cleaning non-stick liner. The whole thing is light as a feather which really helps when the pot is full. It's stove top friendly for searing too, but I'm not going to use it that way. I think high heat will reduce the longevity, but they do sell it as capable of stove top use. The Bella liner appears to be the same, but it's not GreenPan. The Bella is certainly a good deal for the money though.

Maybe a dumb question, but does anyone know if instantpots have a slow cook feature as well? Wondering if it would be redundant to get both an IP and this
