Even if you don't use the searing function for searing I'll bet it's nice to quickly bring soup or stew up to temp before going into slow cook. I have a GreenPan 8qt that is similar except it's a slow cooker only. Nothing wrong with that. https://www.walmart.com/ip/GreenP...rtner=wlpa I used it for the first time last week at a family party and it did a great job of cooking a vat of mac & cheese. One of the best things about these ceramic lined aluminum inner pots is light weight, and how easy they are to clean. They're light as a feather compared to ceramic crocks which really helps when the pot is full.
The Bella is a screaming deal given the fact that it's 7 quarts (good size), has the sear function (amazing), and locking handles for travel and it's only $35. The reviews are pretty good too, and most are verified purchase reviews. Had I not bought the GreenPan I would have bought this, for sure.
Maybe a dumb question, but does anyone know if instantpots have a slow cook feature as well? Wondering if it would be redundant to get both an IP and this

All Instant Pots absolutely work as slow cookers and have dedicated buttons for that. They let you choose low, high, and warm for temp too. If you already have an instant pot you probably don't need a dedicated slow cooker. Oval slow cookers like this are better than the 6 quart IP's for oblong items such as roasts, and make for a little better presentation on a buffet table in my opinion, but that's all.
