At some point you should just get a desktop or use a docking station.

Community Reviews

This ASUS Vivobook S16 looks like a strong under 1,000 dollar OLED laptop for productivity, with a Core Ultra 9 285H, 32 gigabytes of RAM, a 1 terabyte SSD, and a 120 hertz 2880 by 1800 display. The specs are described as covering most needs, and the Costco warranty adds appeal. The main knocks are the lack of a touchscreen, concern about the glossy OLED finish, and reports of a problematic backlit keyboard. It comes across as a well equipped machine with a few comfort tradeoffs.

Oooh, a 14" version of this under 3lb would really have me looking at my wallet.
Here's a 14" Zenbook for you that fits that bill for the same price.

Close, but just missed with 1920x1200. I'm looking for at least 1600.

The 285h chip isn't strong enough in the NPU department to be labeled as copilot+. I think most ppl now usually use Gemini or chatgpt so that shouldn't matter
I didn't realize the 285H wasn't good for copilot+. I purchased the 285H Costco deal a few months ago instead of the 288V thinking the H was better... Is 288V more optimized for copilot+?

The 285h is faster overall with 16 cores while the 288v is 8 cores. Unless you are using copilot+ often, the 285h is a better chip albeit power hungry.

Not a touchscreen laptop. Purchasers report a problematic backlit keyboard. On paper, the specs look great. I might pull the trigger in a month if the deal is still available

Is this ok for office work? I'm worried that the screen might be too glossy.

Keep in mind that DRAM prices are exploding. PC prices are already skyrocketing, laptop prices are starting to pop as well...

how long did it take for yall to receive the laptop? i typically don't order costco online but estimated delivery date is tomorrow and it hasn't even shipped yet. Costco chat rep has no clue the status of shipment and i can't even cancel or change delivery to my local costco warehouse lol. hope it gets here by sunday since i won't be home all next week. Curious why they put est delivery date when it's not being followed.

It is usually delivered on time for me almost all the time. Always do ship to store if you're buying a big electronics item during a holiday. It is safe and hassle-free from all the known issues.

Costco is pretty accurate in shipment, but the holiday season can create a 1-2 day delay. It all depends on your zip code and warehouse location.
