Traditionally this has been considered a bad brand. But I'm surprised they made a brushless line so as far as these particular tools idk.

Walmart also carries the Hart brand which is basically the exact same tool as Ryobi.

Does anyone have any info to add about this line?

It has an USB-C input so it works as a battery charger too? 🤯

I've had good experiences with hyper tough tools - I especially like the 12 volt tools - and my first impact wrench was a 20 volt brushless hyper tough.

I've had good luck with several Hyper Tough 20V tools, including two 3 or 4 year old 20V drills that stay banished in an unheated garage that gets below freezing in the winter and sweltering hot in the summer (with batteries). Along with a 2 year old 20V pole chainsaw that get intermittent use.
Hyper Tough is my preferred "red and black" tool brand at this point!

I'll second the 12v line. I looked down on them for a very long time until I tried the 12v ratcheting wrench. I've since got the extended watching wrench, multi material saw, 3/8 impact wrench, 3/8 brushless drill and the right angle die grinder. I actually grab the hyper tough drill (light jobs) and die grinder before my Milwaukee 12v equivalents. If I need more from a drill I'm using my 18v Ridgid.

I don't have any experience with their 20v line but if the 12v is any indication I would imagine your generally going to get your money's worth.

These 20v Hyper Tough tools are also compatible (made by the same manufacturer) as Northern Tools' housebrand 20V Klutch tools.

If you've ever seen SteinFab Garage, IIRC he bought a Hyper Tough impact because he forgot his when he was on the road and was surprised at how well it worked and held up. He's a shadetree/junkyard mechanic that is not gentle with his tools, to put it lightly.

Is there anywhere to buy knockoff HyperTough batteries? Links would be appreciated.

Agree. The hart brand is closer or maybe equal to ryobi. Hyper tough? Not so. But like somebody said, they are peddling a brushless for this price, so like that walmart commercial that asks the question "who knew", who knows?

These aren't knockoffs but they're compatible. https://www.northerntool.com/sear...ch+battery

They also have an offer where if you buy a select Klutch power tool, you get a 4 Ah battery free.
