just buy a new one. return the new one with old receipt.
Costco updated their return policy. For identical items, they refund using the latest price. So just return it first and buy it again.

for 600 last time i tried, the USB-c won't wake up the speaker from both Mac and Windows.I returned it instead. later been told i should turn off the sleep mode ??
You have to turn off eco mode or something like that. Mine would not wake over usbc but once I disabled eco it wakes every time.

KEF Metas are overrated. They sound muddy and flat.

KEF speakers are generally great but these are garbage. I have bought two sets for the office. They have weak connective and throughput. You're better off buying a pair of standard KEF bookshelf speakers that suit your environment and pairing them with a WiiM streaming amp.

Anyone in the know: these or two used Sonos Play 5 paired (1st gen Play 5)? Thanks in advance.
Depends on your taste. I have the entire Sonos lineup speakers, they are all too bass heavy to my ears. The 300 is probably the best out of the 100, 300 and Fives, but if I have to choose, I'd listen to music in my $100 Pioneer BS41. The sonos all have a very distant mid, which is very annoying to me.

It's not an LT, but there is a YouTube video comparing the LSX II and the Sonos Five
Thanks. I looked at that video. Not sure it helped all that much. Hard to hear fidelity through YT.

Thanks. I think I will keep my $100 used Play 5 setup.

Even though I got a steal for $300 I try them out yesterday didn't really have any AirPlay connection issues however they sounded horrendous. I have the bookshelf and tower KEF speakers which sound superb but this sounds like a portable speaker very muffled absolutely no depth

Interesting, so I have to pack my old one and return first, making it a little hard

I got it at $599, not very impressive compared to my Edifier s880 mark ii which is less than $200, plan to return it, I feel the price will go even lower

I just got these to use as MacBook speakers and they sound excellent. The mid and treble clarity and precision are a clear step above Sonos. Bass is limited without a sub. Strongly recommended at this price. Wireless connectivity can be finicky, but I run them over USB-C.
