Xfinity Internet is powered by fiber and connected to premises by coaxial cable
One drawback to this is upload and download speeds are not symmetric - the headline advertised speed is the download speed, but upload speeds are typically significantly lower. For example, looking at the Broadband Facts of the 1 Gig plan in my area, they specify typical download speed at 1170 mbps and typical upload speed at 117 mbps. In the past in different areas, I've seen advertised typical upload speeds as low as 20-40 mbps.
That may be perfectly fine for many people, in which case this is a good deal. But make sure to take a look at the upload speed for your area and confirm that it's fast enough for your needs.

It could be related to the place you are moving to, maybe it never had or has outdated xfinity cables (if that's a thing). At my place I used to have Comcast a couple of years ago so I'm thinking I just need to plug their modem to the existing old cable.

I currently have 150mbps upload on Comcast, when I get to the final page it shows me I will only have 35mbps upload. Not if it's just wrong or they are down grading it from the 100mbps it should be at my address to 35.
Would I transfer my Xfinity mobile numbers to a cheap prepaid service and then can cancel internet and then have my wife re join and get the Xfinity Internet promo and the 1yr free of mobile service?

From my point of view 150mbps upload worth way more than just extra couple hundred mbps download (assuming you're on 500-600mbps plan. ) If i were you would stay on old plan since you missed their originally offered 1Gb download / 100mbps upload offer.
