Started a new account for my spouse and it worked. Even took my time adding it to the cart and changed off the tab and when I went back they offered a promo for a $50 mastercard gift card if I completed the order that day.

No discount for using your own equipment. Though I haven't seen a discount like that in years.

They created a new account with my same email. Every time when I login in, it will let me choose an account to login . This caused my mobile port out issue. So better to use a new username for this deal.
Existing customer here, own modem, and I have MANY mobile lines (me, son, parents, my 100 year old grandmother).

I am sorry to be 'that guy'. I have not read through every page of comments yet though I've got the gist of it. Thing is I'm not even going to TRY this until Tuesday Dec. 16 during US daytime as I work from home and cannot afford to both disrupt my internet service before Monday AND all those mobile lines are sensitive for me to keep active.

Sooo, I've gathered the best way is to create a new account with a new email for the same address. I want to be sure I'll be able to move all of my mobile lines from the old account to the new one. That's why I'm bothering y'all here with this request for confirmation. I can't afford to not have parents and Grandma not having their mobile lines working.

I had Xfinity for many years, I can't even count how many times I had technical issues with their internet service. I switched over to Verizon 3 years ago and I've never, not even once, had an issue. I pay $90 at Verizon instead of the $50 shown here, but I don't even care because the extra money is worth it. My internet is always fast and I feel like I'm getting my money's worth. This deal is tempting but I'm getting PTSD from dealing with them lol.

I got this deal in September. They also paid off my Verizon phone and gave me a free year of their mobile service (also on Verizon's network). After years of getting ripped off by Comcast in another market, they finally made it worth while to come back (even though I was going to be forced to come back, anyway).

Switching carriers was practically seemless on the phone. But their online process really sucked. You should probably have the phone and a computer (or the xfinity app) in your physical possession to make sure things happen as smoothly as possible.

I am looking to switch my mom's Xfinity account to this (5) year (1) gig price lock for $50 deal. Within the last month we signed her up for a (5) year (1) gig price lock deal but at $85 per month as where she lives Xfinity is the only game in town and the $85 rate was a lot cheaper than what she was being charged before.

When I log into her current account and click on change plan it shows the $50 (5) year deal and has a tile that says switch to this speed even thought she's already on a (1) gig (5) year plan at $85 per month. I haven't tried to add the $50 deal to the cart and checkout yet but I see no harm in doing it do you? Like I mentioned I see this with being logged into her existing account so I think if I was able to check out with the $50 per month deal it would probably create a second accounting (new account #) using her same login credentials? If so I should just be able to cancel her first existing account unless it gets auto cancelled first. I highly double it would let me switch to the $50 deal for her without creating a second account but I guess anything's possibleSmilie

I was able to get this by creating a new account....but my stupid self made all the information (phone number, email address, etc.) the same as my existing account. I was able to get the service activated somehow (but I had to call them do get the modem provisioned) but I have no way to view my account information for the new plan. Any way to fix this?
I made similar mistake. I used the same username and address for the new plan. I have 2 accounts and cannot get the port out PIN for my mobile because that account is being closed by Xfinity. Have been on the chat and call for almost a day but nobody can solve it.

Press the button and let us know. It shouldn't be applicable to current customers, but who knows how their logic really works.

I guess if closing, you should create a transfer/port-out PIN ahead of time, though it lasts only 24 hours.

I thought I can close the old account after the new one activated, but Xfinity is closing my old account automatically before the new account activation. It is already too late to get the port out PIN.

Currently on FIOS but their prices SUCK - How easy is it to have Xfinity installed? Does it need coax run from the street?
FIOS is fiber with generally good uptime, parallel speeds, low latency/jitter. Xfinity is DOCSIS which is basically jamming as much data as possible down a 1980s cable bc they're too cheap to modernize, and then telling you it's your fault when there's problems. Not worth it even if it's cheaper.

existing customer. I add to cart and then login to my account and should work? Does it create 2 accounts and I have to cancel the original account?

But it states the following: New Unlimited mobile line must be purchased within 90 days. $25 one-time activation fee/line applies." At the end of 90 days, are people going to be charged for this?
