The Reviews from the people who actually Bought this flashlight say it's USB-C.

"Size: A300-White lightVerified Purchase
Bright light, compared to other torches that we use. It was good news that the battery is a standard form factor 18650. While it's convenient to charge the device up by a USB-C cable, swapping in a charged battery saves time and makes it less disposable than if the battery was not replaceable."

Last 10 or so flashlights ive purchased were Sofirn and Wurkkos, which all but one have been great. Do these come close to those brands? Im not expecting the same quality nor brightness at 1/3-1/5 the cost but curious on performance

DarkBeam is such a cool name. Could be a name used in Star Wars.

I got these previously and they are great. Keep in mind that it is small though. Get something else if you want something big and powerful
You mean it does not put out the 2000 lumens that it claims?

Cheap led "focused" through a cheap TIR lens, housed in a cheap aluminum body. All powered by a cheap rechargeable battery.
It's a step above the old D-battery Ray-o-vacs but not by much.
You do realize JUST a set of d batteries for one of those old flashlights is more than $5 right? Assuming this isnt DOA then 5 bucks is getting you a pretty substantial set of features; very bright, waterproof, rechargeable. And if its DOA, just complain to amazon and they will have a new one on your doorstep tomorrow.
And I say that as a proud owner of many Maglites, including a 4-d and 5-d which i stopped using over a decade ago, because the brightness for size was just hideously unjustified compared to new flashlights. They literally were just self-defense batons (which there are better designs for now too).

i have a later version of this (zoom recharger 21700(18650+sleave) with usb-c
so i'm guessing they are liquidating these due to still using a micro usb port.
the port change seems pointless, as the recharge rate over usb-c is still slow.
mine is "ballistic" (6.5oz w/batt) so this OP version may be lighter in weight,
but i'm pretty sure the LED and internal electronics are the same.
i'm very pleased with my purchase, and for $5 don't mind having
something similar laying around if i can't find my other one.
what's key is the 18650 can be replaced, because the battery they include is
most likely a poor cell, that will probably lose it's capability within a year.
so when i got my usb-c iteration, i put in my own samsung or panasonic cell.
"2000-lumens" is just the intensity of the zoomed in square or light,
so it's nothing like a 2000 lumen omni directional light bulb.

I tried this and it didn't work
I just did it, and not only did it work but it also knocks $7.50 off of the $15.00 2-pack, for an even slicker deal than OP's

The even Slicker deal to be found here is to use the same coupon code on the two-pack to knock $7.50 off of the $15.00 2-pack, bringing the total for a pair of torches to $7.50.
