This is a good enough deal that even if it doesn't have a warranty, I think it's worth the price: <$200 shipped.

I will warn you, though: once you join the Ubiquiti system, it's really easy to spend a load of money on it!

If this is your first start in the system, you'll probably want access points and other network infrastructure like switches and stuff. Look at /r/homelabsales to find stuff at least 25% off new. I picked up 2 U6 Pros for like $110/ea shipped.

Good price, but I believe the Cloud Gateway Fiber is a better, more modern product with superior features for $80 more every day at Ubiquiti. For me, the nVME support, 10GBE WAN port, POE and more modern processor (faster, less power) are worth the price increase. The CGF can also support higher throughput than the UDM-PRO. Also, missing out on the extended warranty direct from UI.

Well at least this isn't the special edition version so my wallet thanks you. I would love to do shadow mode so that if UI pushes a bad update I can just flip my other unit on.

Ideally, you'd have Unifi WAP's that ties into and are configured by the Unifi controller that's built into this device.

Whoa! That's a good price. Does anyone know anything about the seller?
They are legit. I bought this a week and a half ago and received it over the weekend. Honestly thought it might be refurb, but it is new. Mine is getting old and wanted a backup.

Which WAP should i get to cover 1800 sq ft? Do i need wired connection from AP to this UDM? I don't have wires running acorss my home, so planning to plant this UDM and AP at the same location and near my Internet provider. Or any other suggestions? Tia!

Keep in mind that Uniquiti hardware from 3rd party vendors only gets 1 year warranty. I'm contemplating getting this as a backup in case my unit from 2020 dies.

Killer deal indeed. Been eyeing the Pro Max for a few days, but at this price I'll be more than happy with the UDM-Pro. Perfect timing OP, thanks!
