At 3% inflation this would've been about $60 25-30 years ago. Doesn't seem that expensive really.

30 years ago we bought the Dreamhouse that was made of plastic and cardboard. Wife said it would disintegrate within 6 months. So we took it back to the store and built one from 1/8" plywood and decorated with scraps of wallpaper and leftover paint. Made a bed and other furniture. Bought some online. Daughters played with it for years. After they outgrew it they wouldn't let us give it away because too many good memories.
