There is only one 1 star rating, the rest are 4 and 5. I love my Monster N lites. I don't have this model yet, but I bought a set without the stem and they were so comfortable I bought 2 backup pairs and gave 2 away. I never used buds because I never found any that didn't hurt my ears within an hour. I can wear these over eight hours and forget they are in my ears at the end of the day. I also bought a set that has the stem and 12mm drivers instead of 10mm. They have a better sound. I have many Harmon Kardon speakers and over the ear headphones. I have never tried their buds because the 12mm N Lites are great, especially for the money, and why soend a lot if they may not fit? I paid $20 for the 10mm and $40 or less for the 12mm.

Bought a pair of Yamaha on sale. Never looked back. You pay for what you get. So if you buy 20.00 Monster earbuds that are made in China. I'll leave it that.
