DON'T BLOW IT - THROW IT! Responding to the need for an easy-to-use machine that could tackle heavier snowfall on mid-sized driveways and walkways, Snow Joe developed the Snow Joe Ultra SJ618E, a larger electric snow thrower that delivers the power of a gas machine with the convenience of an electric unit. Driven by a powerful 13-amp motor, the Snow Joe Ultra moves up to 580 lbs of snow per minute. Its durable, 2-blade cold-and-abrasion-resistant rotor cuts a swath 18 inches wide by 8 inches deep with each pass.
In addition to its hard-working plowing capacity, the Snow Joe Ultra features an adjustable discharge chute that rotates a complete 180 to provide full control over the direction of the snow stream. The chute deflector can also be adjusted to control the height of the snow stream. Easy-glide all-terrain wheels make the Snow Joe Ultra easy to turn and maneuver with each pass. The scraper blade at the base of the unit efficiently scrapes the snow clear to the ground without damaging your deck or pavement.
Powered electrically, the Snow Joe Ultra SJ618E is effortless to start and maintain. No gas, oil, or tune-ups are necessary. The unit is ETL-approved and carries a full two year warranty. For heavier snowfall on mid-sized driveways and walkways, the Snow Joe Ultra SJ618E is your snow solution this winter.

With less snowfall these days something like this is great for most areas. This still feels like a good compromise between value, ease, and efficiency. Id buy again at this price if mine died.

This happens to me. Where did you add screws? Did it impact the turning of the chimney
But be sure to factor in an expensive 50/75 ft extension cord or whatever you will need to reach where you need to.
I'd gotten a Snow Joe back in 2017 for ~$80 - it lasted a surprisingly long time (6+ yrs) and did reasonably well... but it had a metal auger with rubber 'paddles'.

I just used the first screws I found but some short screws would be best. Any will work, it's just plastic. Make a new hole if the first doesn't work.
rep "which wire gauge are you using?"
me "12 gauge"
rep "upon checking, you must use 16gauge for up to 50 foot and 14 gauge for up to 100"
me "so i can use lower gauge as they exceed the requirements"
rep "according to the user manual, you must use 16 gauge for up to 50 feet and 14 for 100"
me "so if a lower gauge is higher rated to handle more amps, isn't it fine to use the 12 gauge as that will exceed the requirement?"
the rep would not answer the question. Then proceeds to ask a bunch of other questions which led to "do you have the receipt" which I replied no, it was store bought and I didn't think I would need to keep the receipt because I was under the assumption it should last at least the 2 years and therefore, I wouldn't be able to get warranty anyways. Sucks for me, everyone save your receipts
