Seems like the best deal for Intel CPU so far.

I have the same PC, except with a 4070 (bought it early last year).

It has been excellent with no issues

Was that the deal from walmart? Some people got vanilla 4070's some got 4070 supers? The 14900 in mine degraded, ibuypower sent me a replacement quickly. When I took the aio cooler off to replace the 14900 the thermal paste was pretty well done. The new 14900 undervolts like a champ compared to the original one. -.130 stable.

This seems like the best deal of the season. If I hadn't already ordered the parts for a build, I would jump on this. I'm tempted to do it anyway. PCIe 4 though

If you have a Costco membership the Ryzen 7 9800x3d version of this is $1500 right now.

https://www.costco.com/p/-/ibuypo...?langId=-1

As a pure gaming rig I think the AMD processor might perform better with less power draw than the intel processors do, but If you plan on doing more multithreaded work, the Intel processor would be better.
The only other differences I really noticed were the case and that the AMD version only lists a B650 motherboard with no specific manufacturer or Model#. This Intel build specifically lists the MSI PRO Z790-P WIFI.

At this point we might as well rename this site "Everyday Deals" because truly good deals rarely get posted anymore. If it was a 5070 ti we could talk, mixed with their terrible support, it's not a deal at all.

It's not a bad processor either, but it is also 2 years old.

First of all, I wouldn't trust an Intel 13th or 14th gen high power CPU(including this 14900KF). Second RTX 5070(even a 12GB ver) is pretty weak for its price. Third, all other specs seem mediocre at best. The RAM is probably its only saving grace because how RAM is ridiculously overpriced for consumer markets

For the price, I can't see a better alternative. What's the issue with the high power CPUs?

Literally the first result I got from Costco by searching gaming pc is better than this: https://www.costco.com/p/-/ibuypo...langId=-1. You get a WAY better CPU(9800X3D), and same everything else, same iBUYPOWER brand even, for $150 less. Back to the CPU, 13th and 14th high powered CPUs were riddled with instability and irreversible damages for a VERY LONG time: https://www.pcgamer.com/hardware/...ake-cpus/. Allegedly it's been fixed, but again I wouldn't bet my luck. Unless you really really want this Hyte Y60 case for some reason, I don't see any advantages from this particular model.

Would be a good deal if it was a 5070ti instead of just a regular 5070. As someone else mentioned, Costco has this for $1500 with a better CPU.

I had the exact same build mine came with a 4070 Super and my 14900 degraded as well, they were very good and sent me a new one and well never looked back!!
