This is my first post. I needed an HDMI splitter/ audio extractor because if I plug my TV streamer into my new Samsung S90F, the audio will be compressed (no True DTS pass through by Samsung). But if I plug the TV streamer into my Marantz pre-amp, it does not passthrough the HDR-10 back to my TV). The only way to get the best of both worlds was to get an HDMI splitter with passthrough of all codecs that I needed, video and audio. This does the trick for a little less than the higher end models like HDR Fury-- and is on sale now.
The reviews are minimal for this product, it is indeed made in the same factory as the OREI, but they add different firmware and badges and outputs. Lastly, the EDID handles the handshake, but it will downgrade your audio or video, if you don't tell it to "split" the signal.
