Same deal as pre Black Friday but now $400 cheaper on a excellent Hi-Mid Tier OLED that is just the newer sibling of the well received Z95B.
Lots of the same goodies as the Z95B but at a lower entry price point.
Panasonic quality.

Amazon @ $1499.99 [amazon.com]

Other cash back savings possible if u know where to enter from.

FWIW, this is off the the AVS forum.
It's a rebadged Z93A that was sold in Europe last year. It was supposed to come to the US last year, but never did.

It uses a regular EX panel like the LG C series, but includes a heat sink and the high end audio found on the Z95A.

It being labeled MLA on the website is incorrect. Panasonic said they'll be correcting the website ASAP.

Ordered 77 inch LG B5 recently. Is this Panasonic $400 better?
Last year's Z85AP is at best equal to the B4. Not sure how the Z8B is different though.

from rtings Z85 review:
The LG B4 OLED and the Panasonic Z85A OLED are evenly matched, but there are some minor differences. The LG is brighter in SDR, so it handles more glare in a room with the lights on. The LG also has a bit less banding in color gradients and does a slightly better job cleaning up artifacts in low bitrate content. However, the Panasonic has slightly better upscaling capabilities.

The interface isn't what 4K TVs at this price range are selling on....
And? It's a major component of your experience.

It's an older code, but it checks out.

True but you could just buy a Roku or whatever streaming platform you prefer and ignore the built-in one.

The whole beauty of an OLED is the thinness of the screen when viewed from the side! This is THICK for an OLED Wink Samsung really nailed it with their S95F OLED models.

I freaking love how aggressive Panasonic is positioning itself back into the market. I think they're here to stay w/ how competitive their pricing is. The only short coming for me is that it uses FireTV out of the box instead of something more comprehensive like Android TV.

They never actually stopped making high end TVs, they just moved out of the US market, but now they're coming back fairly strong.

And they used the garbage OS. I can't imagine having a firetv oled. Google is so much smoother and easier.
I've found that clearing the cache and installing a fast USB drive for app offloading resolves this issue quickly. I'm using the Z85 65", and these steps worked well for me. I paid $799 for mine, and it's been excellent for that price point. I switched over from an Apple TV 4K( I could still use this directly but there hasn't be a reason now that its fast) and had no major problems—the screen mirroring works great too. I'm also on the latest version of Fire OS, which performs much better than the earlier versions that shipped with this TV.

Maybe amazon OS is the reason for low price.

The Panasonic will be much brighter most likely.Edit: to the genius who down voted me, the B series is the dimmest OLED of the major brands so sorry if that offends you.
You are 100 percent correct on the B5. Sent mine back. Way to dim. If you are going the LG route get the C5. This Panny is also really good also

Aside from Fire TV, everything a/b this TV is amazing.

This is a different TV the the Z85A. Most reviews compare this to be on par with the C5. It has not been rated by Rtings and I would get a good mini LED before id buy a B5.

main difference is that the Z85A is a mid-range OLED with a 120Hz panel and Fire TV, while the Z8B is likely a higher-end model (like the Z95B) with a more advanced panel, 144Hz refresh rate, and a different smart TV system. The "8" in Z85A signifies a different series than the higher-end "B" or "9" series TVs. Key distinctions are the Z85A's 120Hz refresh rate vs. the Z8B's 144Hz, and the Z85A's Fire TV vs. the Z8B's likely Google TV or other platform.
